Si Marian Rivera (Marian Rivera Gracia sa totoong buhay) ay ipinanganak noong ika-12 ng Agosto, taon 1984 sa Madrid, Espanya. Ang kanyang ama na si Fransisco Javier Gracia ay isang Espanyol, habang ang kanyang inang si Amalia Rivera ay isang Pilipina. Nang siya ay 2 taong gulang, ang kanyang mga magulang ay naghiwalay. Ang kanyang ina at siya, kasama ang kanyang lola, ay nanirahan sa Bacoor, Cavite sa Pilipinas. Isa siya sa mga pinakabata ngunit pinakamatagumpay na aktres sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas. Mabilis na umangat at nakilala si Marian Rivera sa role niya bilang MariMar at Bella Aldama sa Philippine adaptation ng MariMar.

Pagkatapos niyang pumirma sa TAPE Inc., nagsimula na siyang umarte at nakasama siya sa tatlong palabas tuwing hapon sa GMA Network: Kung Mamahalin Mo Lang Ako, Agawin Mo Man Ang Lahat, at Pinakamamahal, kung saan nakatambal niya si Oyo Boy Sotto, anak nina Dina Bonnevie at Vic Sotto. Ang pinakamalaking ginampanan niya ay nang mapunta sa kanya ang MariMar, ang remake na ginampanan noon ni Thalía. Ang GMA Network Executives ay tinawag siyang Then Next Big Star (Ang Susunod na Malaking Bituin).
