Original research[baguhin ang wikitext]
Awstriya is merely taking the Spanish spelling, Austria, chaging the 'u' to 'w', tulad ng kinagawian sa Filipino, and adding a 'y' to ease pronunciation after 'tr'. I am merely following the system; how can this be considered original research? Are you suggesting that for every spelling we use here we have to find a source when we already have a system in place that's been taught to us in school? --Pare Mo 16:38, 12 Marso 2008 (UTC)
- Yes if it involves proper nouns especially place names, a reference that the spelling is in use. We are not the KWF. As an encyclopedia, Wikipedia will just document the knowledge, not impose it. If it will enrich the article, add a footnote instead. --bluemask 17:02, 12 Marso 2008 (UTC)
- Good point. In the case however of the presence of multiple, conflicting sources for spellings, all of them authoritative, which would prevail? (Btw, I wasn't suggesting coining new words nor using obsolete ones, nor changing the orthography re KWF comment, just to make it clear.) --Pare Mo 17:19, 12 Marso 2008 (UTC)

- Kung may conflict, maaari sigurong gamitin ang nakasaad sa Ortograpiya ng Wikang Pambansa ng KWF. Mahirap malaman kung ano ang common spelling. - Hindi ko naman sinasabi na huwag sundin ang KWF. Ang ibig ko pong sabihin ay huwag po sanang Wikipedia ang magdidikta kung ano ang susundin.
