English: Located on an area of 75 rai in Khlong Ha subdistrict, Khlong Luang district, the National Archives in Commemoration of H.M. the King’s Golden Jubilee was founded by the Department of Fine Arts on the auspicious occasion of King Bhumibol Adulyadej's golden jubilee celebrations in 1996 to collect documents on his royal biography, activities of H.M. the King and the royal family members, e.g.pieces of writings, instructions, speeches, compositions, paintings, photos, records of his voice, including documents of the operation in his royal projects due to his royal initiatives and other projects in honour of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, to store and preserve the archives,in accordance with the General International Standard Archival Description,and to use the management system as a most perfect model for other the national archives. These proposes will,therefore, be beneficial to public and private sectors, as well as general public, with respect to research. Designed in applied Thai architecture, the construction, covering total space of 20,000 square metres comprises a group of 4 buildings connecting to one another, offering the collection of archives, research facilities, permanent exhibitions of H.M. the King’s activities and projects under his initiatives, and a multi-purpose area for organising activities.
