Фамарь рожает Фареса и Зераха, зачатых ею после смерти двух её мужей с помощью хитрости от ее свёкра, сына ветхозаветного патриарха Иакова Иуды, основателя одного из двенадцати колен израилевых. Акушерка (старуха) принимает Зераха, пока моют его брата-близнеца. В центре спереди: корзина с пеленками готова чтобы пеленать младенцев. Фамарь сидит на родильном стуле.
