Si Florencio Campomanes (22 ng Pebrero 1927 – 3 Mayo 2010) ay isang Pilipinong sayantipikong politikal, manlalaro ng ahedres, at tagapamalqkay ng ahedres.

Edukasyon

Si Campomanes ay ipinanganak sa Maynila at nakuha ang kanyang B.A. sa political science mula sa Pamantasan ng Pilipinas noong 1948. Sumunod, siya ay nag-aral sa Brown University (Providence, Rhode Island), kung saan nakamit niya ang kanyang M.A. noong 1951. Nag-aral siya ng doctoral studies sa Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., mula 1949 hanggang 1954.

Manlalaro ng ahedres

Si Campomanes ang Pambansang Dalubhasa strength player noong kanyang pinakamasaganang mga taon, at ang Philippine national champion sa dalawang okasyon (1956, 1960). Rinepresenta niya ang kanyang bansa sa limang Chess Olympiads: Moscow 1956, Munich 1958, Leipzig 1960, Varna 1962, at Havana 1966. May nakalaban siyang mga dalubhasa din, natalo siya sa mga laro laban kay Pal Benko at Ludek Pachman sa Moscow 1956, Oscar Panno sa Munich 1958, Mikhail Tal at Miguel Najdorf sa Leipzig 1960, at Lev Polugaevsky sa Havana 1966.
