Rene Requiestas

Si Rene Requiestas (Enero 22, 1957 - Hulyo 24, 1993)ay isang artistang Filipino. Isang mahirap at pangkaraniwan lang ang buhay ni Requiestas noong siya ay di pa artista. Siya ay nagtitinda ng sigarilyo sa bangketa hanggang sa siya ay madiskubre ng isang talent scout.

Isa si Requiestas sa nag-akyat ng pera sa bakuran ng Regal Films at gumanap sa mga pelikulang halos lahat ay pawang komedya. Nakasama rin niya si Joey de Leon sa Cheeta-Eh Ganda Lalake, si Jimmy Santos sa Small, Medium, Large, at ang mga Regal Baby na sina Kris Aquino sa tatlong trilohiyang pelikula ng Pido Dido, si Maricel Soriano at Maricel Laxa. Namatay siya noong Hulyo 24,1993 dahil sa tuberkulosis at sa matinding pag-iinom at paninigarilyo.
