It is already a given that a large share of words in Tagalog come from English, and not just the words that were presented in that list. Moreover some words, in particular paa and pangil, are part of a core of Malay words common in Austronesian languages. The only way that such core words could come from English (or any Indo-European language) would be if Indo-European tribes interacted with early Austronesian peoples. Such Indo-European tribes would have been English-speaking tribes, which is impossible, as the language arose not from a collection of tribes but a nation called England. Plus, by that time, Austronesians have broken up into several language groups. (See the discussion on German in Filipino.) —Život 08:27, September 8, 2005 (UTC)
